IMPROVING COMMUNICATION SKILLS AS A USEFUL TOOL FOR CAREGIVERS IN LONG TERM CARE FOR ELDERLY.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The european Communicare project aims to improve the communication skills of informal and formal caregivers in the long-term care of the elderly in order to contribute to an increase in the quality of life in the everyday life of those in need of care.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the special requirements for communication were examined and a largely autonomous e-learning platform with virtual training courses and materials for the improvement of communication skills was developed.<\/p>\n

The Communicare training platform is available on the project\u2019s website and consists out of 3 learning paths, a game and a forum. Learn more (Link to the learning paths)<\/p>\n

Participants can train their communication behavior in everyday situations so that they are able to react appropriately. The user forum can be used to exchange experiences on successful communication and to find solutions for some challenges together.<\/p>\n

Achievements on the Communicare platform will be recorded and recognized through the earning of three digital badges: A bronze badge for accomplishing LP1, a silver badge for finishing LP2 and a golden badge for the completion of LP3.<\/p>\n

Once the participants have successfully completed all three learning paths by answering the quizzes, reading the handbook and playing the game a certificate of completion is also available for download. Learn more (Link to the Evaluation)<\/p>\n
